Wouldn't it be good if owners read the reviews, paid attention to them, and did something about them?East Meets West in Rego Park USED to be the best Chinese food delivery in the area but no more. The new management still charges the higher prices that were justified a few years back but no longer are. It more like take their money and run the place into the ground.Sure, you might find a few acceptable dishes. (Another reviewer seems to be doing a rare dish by dish review.) So I am not saying to avoid the place completely, but don't say you weren't warned about the higher prices for generally lousy Chinese food.Ah well... places like this keep shows like "Restaurant Impossible" and "Kitchen Nightmares" on the air.

I can only review the hot and sour soup that I ordered and can't say much about their other food. ... Based on everyone else's reviews, maybe I should be glad that I didn't try it?I know most Chinese take out places aren't the prettiest, and usually look shabby. But this place takes the cake. I was even reluctant to sit down on one of their chairs. The hot and sour soup itself was extremely liquid-y. It was more like hot and sour liquid with 5 pieces of mushroom on top. There was seriously two chunks of bean curd, and a few strips of bamboo shoot, and some red spice, and that was it. It tasted okay but for a near $3 (more expensive than it usually runs), I expected more for my money.

This place has gone down hill a bit from the past when it was some of the best Chinese food in Rego Park in my opinion. Sadly, it still is some of the best take out in Rego Park, even with it not being so great, so until I find better, this will still by my go to spot. The things I order have never been horrible, just not as good as it used to be. It's a shame, we need some good Chinese in this area.......

The worst Chinese food I have ever had. Too bad because the restaurant has parking in front which is rare in Rego Park.

Use to love this place. The food was great. Recently ordered in after a long time away and was so disappointed. The food, in particular the General Tso's chicken, which at a time was the best I had ever had was flavorless. We called back to ask if there was a in ownership. They informed us there was a while back. We informed them that the food had no flavor and we were disappointed. They didn't seem to surprised by our thoughts and apologized. I guess we will have to move on to another place.
